Very understanding group of volunteers, front desk is very straight to the point when getting paperwork done which may be off for some but this is a job where they deal with people who are probably highly stressed. Unfortunately they also have many appointments that do no shows very often which then puts more strain on the dental workers going out of there way to be there for those appointments with the no shows. Parking is slightly limited with 2 to 3 spots right out the front gate (grey topped meters, bring quarters and push the button once before putting any change in for 15 minutes free) and definitely leave nothing of value (or honestly literally anything in view) in the vehicle or recommend getting dropped off and picked up. Took very little time to be seen, got in 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment and they notified the dental team of the nervousness and were very understanding of the pain. Constantly making sure I was comfortable with what was happening during the procedure and confirming every care step after it was done. Appointments are definitely required.

Refused to help me because a staff member said I yelled and hung up on her. I realize this is herese because it's my word vs. hers but I heard the phone click before I even hung up. ALSO I've been in a little pain lately due to dental issues and stress of financial constraint. I did not yell. I promise you'll know when I'm yelling. Congrats to Union Gospel Mission for gatekeeping health care. Also maybe consider cultural awareness training for your staff. Some of "us" might be "louder" or "more aggressive" sounding than some of the other folks in this town. I forgot that I need to change my identity to fit in around here. I really regret not recording the call because I'd love to show what Union Gospel Mission's staff considering yelling. Also, when I called back the next day to talk to someone else she demanded that I apologize to the staff member I talked to and when I said "I'll certainly consider it," she said "you know, I don't think our services are for you." And yes, I did then hang up on her out of sheer frustration.

To start with, the office staff are super friendly and very helpful, they know their information and they make sure you know what you need; on top of that, Dr. Reese is the best dentist I've ever been to, made me feel very comfortable even though I was nervous for my first extractions and he's the only dentist I've been do that made sure I felt no pain! I've had fillings(back when I had insurance) that hurt much worse and took much longer to do than it took Dr Reese to extract 2 teeth! He was so gentle I didn't feel the novacaine shots at all and then he was quick enough it was over before I knew he had started to pull them, couldn't have been even 5 minutes. Great team of very kind and caring people there, πŸ‘ A+++

I wanted to leave a great review for this place after they helped fix a broken tooth and the staff were so understanding back in April. I waited a bit to write this as I had some travel for medical stuff and knew they were going to call me in for a cleaning at a later date. So I thought I'd roll everything all into one nice friendly review. I thought... The staff here during the initial visit were friendly and listened to me when I said that my blood pressure always goes high during dental appointments due to PTSD, hypervigilance, a fear of dentists stemming from childhood, etc. They took my BP more than once to see that after a bit of being in the office that it was indeed going down and everything went fine. That appointment went great and I thought they were awesome. That was not the case this time... The initial staff at the desk and taking my x-rays were friendly again. When it came to check my blood pressure this time, it was as usual just slightly over the mark for what they accept. This time however the hygienist, whom I hadn't met on prior visits, decided to be aggressive in their handling with me over it. They kept trying to bring up that I needed to see doctors a

My boyfriend had been dealing with tooth pain and no dental insurance for too long. They were so welcoming, kind, and helpful. I appreciate the work they do and how they dont in any way make you feel judged. You guys are such a blessing!
